Thelemic Bedtime Ritual of Love, Will, and Rest
"Breathing in, I welcome the night. Breathing out, I release this day. O Nuit, Lady of Infinite Stars, I open my heart to the night sky within me. Let me rest in Your vast embrace. I am a star in Your body. I am free. I am eternal."

(For personal use or shared with a beloved — to be spoken softly, like a gentle invocation to the night)
✧ Preparation (Optional but recommended):
- Light a single candle — white, indigo, or violet, as symbol of Nuit’s starlight.
- If desired, anoint the forehead (Ajna/third eye) and heart (Tiphereth) with a drop of essential oil (e.g., frankincense, myrrh, rose).
- Sit or lie down comfortably. Feel the breath deepen.
I. Centering Breath & Silent Alignment with Nuit
(Soft, slow breathing — in through the nose, out through the mouth. As you exhale, imagine releasing all tension.)
"Breathing in, I welcome the night. Breathing out, I release this day.
O Nuit, Lady of Infinite Stars, I open my heart to the night sky within me. Let me rest in Your vast embrace. I am a star in Your body. I am free. I am eternal."
(Pause. Feel her presence. Feel yourself as a star, glowing softly in an endless sky.)
II. Acknowledgment of the Day and Surrender to the Night
(Reflect briefly on your day. What did you do in alignment with Will? What do you release? Whisper or think these words with gentle honesty.)
"What I have done today, I have done as I could. What I have not done, I release. All that was aligned with my True Will, I give thanks for. All that was not, I let go now— like leaves falling to the earth.
I offer this day to the night, And I lay my heart bare to the stars."
III. Invocation of the Holy Guardian Angel (HGA)
(Place a hand over the heart or gently over both eyes. Speak softly.)
"Beloved Angel, my guide and guardian, You who are the flame within, Walk with me now into the dream. Whisper to me the secrets I need to know. Show me the path of my True Will, Even as I sleep, That I may rise renewed in the dawn.
Let my dreams be a temple of truth. Let my rest be a ritual of love.
In you, I am never alone."
IV. Affirmation of Love under Will
(Optional: If performed with a partner, this can be said together, facing one another, with hands gently touching or joined.)
"Love is the law, love under will.
Tonight, I surrender to love that flows with purpose. I surrender to the currents of the stars.
May love guide me in all realms—waking and dream. May I be a vessel of love, In harmony with my Will, In service to the stars from which I come."
V. Closing Blessing for Rest and Renewal
(Soft and slow, almost like a lullaby. If alone, say to yourself; if with a partner, say to each other.)
"As I lay down my body, I lift my spirit to the stars.
May Nuit enfold me in Her sky of velvet and flame. May Hadit’s fire burn steady within me, Guiding me through the night.
I am a star. I am free. I am eternal. I rest now in peace. I sleep now in love. I rise, when dawn comes, Renewed in Will, And crowned with light."
✧ Optional Closing Gesture (If Candle Was Lit):
(Blow out the candle as you whisper:) "So it is done. So it is sealed. So shall it be."
(Feel the darkness enfold you like a womb of stars. Rest.)
🌌 Notes on Usage:
- Adaptation: You may shorten this ritual, combine steps, or add your own symbols.
- Partners/Lovers: If used in bed together, holding each other or laying side by side, the act of whispering this ritual can create a sacred bond, a shared alignment of True Will and mutual protection during sleep.
- Dream Work: You can set a specific intention before "Invocation of HGA" to guide dreams toward insight, healing, or communion.
